Before they were dubbed “boomers” and long before being tagged as “Broad alumni,” this generation of alumni was shaking up traditions, so it’s going to be no typical Reunion Days, June 7-8, 2012, for the Spartans of the 60s (1960-1969) and earlier.
There’s a new line up of activities for the 2012 Reunion Days at the Broad College and The School of Hospitality Business. Hospitality grads will attend their Thursday morning Patriarch’s Breakfast, but are invited to join in the fun at the Business Alumni Reunion Golf Scramble and BBQ picnic.
Starting at 10 a.m. on June 7, registered business and hospitality business alumni, will play a round of golf (18–holes or 9-holes) on MSU’s beautiful Forest Akers West Golf Course, and then before the afternoon is gone, enjoy a BBQ Picnic and live music with Doctor Decade at the clubhouse banquet room and patio space.
The BBQ picnic is complimentary (Limit: two persons/registration). Cash bar will be available for guests. Golf fees, including cart, are just $50 for 18 holes and $25 for 9 holes.
On Friday, June 8, the MSU Alumni Association will present a day-long program of special-interest lectures, campus tours and social activities, including the annual Kedzie Induction Luncheon, closing with an afternoon ice cream social at Cowles House, the traditional residence of the MSU President.
Visit MSU Alumni Reunion Days to learn about all of the campus activities planned for Reunion Days, June 7 and 8, 2012, and to register for college and MSUAA events.
