The Broad School

Facts

Established in 1960, The Broad School has a rich history of providing first-rate MBA programs. Today, we offer two outstanding MBA programs: the Full-Time MBA and the Weekend MBA. Each program was designed for different lifestyles, levels of work experience and career aspirations:

Since 1953, all Broad MBA programs have been accredited by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Only 513 of the nation's thousands of business schools have achieved this prestigious status.

Based on our enrollment, we are a relatively small business school within a Top 100 global research university. Our moderate size creates a close-knit setting, allowing students to interact directly with Broad faculty, business leaders, fellow MBAs and Broad alumni. As a result, our students benefit from a highly effective "real-world" learning experience.

The Broad School also places high in the rankings. We consistently land in the top ten percent of AACSB-ranked business schools. Plus, our MBAs provide the best return on investment (ROI) in the nation. In 2008, BusinessWeek ranked us as the number one Full-Time MBA program in the United States based on return on investment, with a payback period of just 3.27 years!

Culture

Based on a cultural research study we recently commissioned, students of The Broad School enjoy a one-of-a-kind collaborative environment. We believe that's because our MBA programs take a unique team-based approach. Our MBA students work in teams of four to six for the duration of their program. As a result, many Broad MBAs forge life-long friendships and build powerful professional networks.

The Broad School also offers a distinctive "down-to-earth" culture, born from the Michigan State University tradition of creating practical solutions. Broad MBA graduates know that it takes hard work and determination to succeed in business. These well-grounded, high-caliber professionals understand the realities of life in the real business world.

Many organizations tell us Broad MBAs are especially well-prepared and make significant business contributions early in their careers. This is because the Broad School MBA program sharpened their skills as highly-motivated business professionals, giving them a serious competitive edge.
