Faculty
The 109 faculty at Broad bring real-world business research to the classroom. At the same time, they have a keen sense of the changing global marketplace. Our educators have their hands in the entire MBA experience—from theory-driven and applied research to study abroad to case competitions.
Don't be surprised if Broad professors greet you by name during chance encounters. Our small class size allows for more direct and frequent interactions with faculty, who embrace this accessibility and often tailor their instruction specifically to the backgrounds and stated goals of their students.
Nearly every department within the MBA program has an industry advisory board to ensure that curriculum and research monitor and reflect breaking developments and needs.
The breadth of our faculty involvement
Beyond class instruction, our faculty:
- Encourage student participation in learning outside the classroom, including participation in the Broad study abroad program, which they oversee
- Serve as advisors for case competitions within and outside Broad, working with student teams and assisting them in their preparation
- Accompany students on career treks
- Support an array of MBA student associations as advisors
Faculty research
Conducting important research keeps our faculty abreast of critical issues, trends, and outcomes, and touting a current worldview, which they share with students. At Broad, you have access to this evolving, leading-edge knowledge of timely and critical issues facing organizations. Broad faculty conducts boundary-spanning research:
- Within their disciplines
- At the individual & group levels
- In the laboratory & the field
Their frequent publication in peer-reviewed journals attests to the quality of their instruction.
