Study Abroad

Extending our emphasis on learning beyond the classroom, the Broad study abroad program, conducted each May, allows you to:

  • Explore business practices in emerging and mature markets
  • Attend company visits, cultural tours, and meetings with prominent MSU alumni in the country you visit
  • Go on treks to both multi-national and local companies in the host country to compare and contrast the two divergent business models
  • Gain exposure to the customs, laws, and regulations of the foreign country you visit
  • Learn about the human resource issues the country you visit faces

(Destinations depend upon whether or not there is demand to visit a particular country)

Summer study programs have also included travel to:

  • Austria
  • Hungary
  • Ireland
  • Thailand
  • Turkey

Study abroad & summer internship

Since the study abroad program immediately follows spring semester, you will get an opportunity to participate in both a two-week study abroad program and your summer internship. Though study abroad can be done after either the first or second year, students who participate following their second year must extend their graduation date to August (prior approval from the director needed).
