A delegation of Broad College faculty led by Dean Stefanie Lenway and including Vallabh Sambamurthy, Eli Broad Professor and chair of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems; and Arjun Singh, associate professor of hospitality business; will embark on an eight-day consulting visit to meet with faculty at SP Jain Institute of Management and Research in India, January 8–16, 2014.
The meeting will further the development of a joint center of management, leadership, and operations (supply chain) excellence within the SP Jain campus in Mumbai, announced in August 2013. The center will expand master’s-level student exchange to and from Mumbai and East Lansing, as well as develop a world-class facility for the senior management development and research needs of companies and organizations in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Spartan Alumni Event Set for Jan 12 in New Delhi
On January 12, MSU alumni in the region are invited to participate in a late morning program with a panel discussion, networking session, and luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Delhi, Bhikaiji Cama Place, Ring Road, New Delhi, India 110066.
Event guest check in begins at 10:30 a.m. The panel discussion that will be offered at 11:00 am looks at the impact of the Internet on business strategy and practices for companies in India. After a brief update from MSU, guests are invited to network over a luncheon that will be served at 12:30 pm. There is no cost to attend the program and luncheon, but pre-registration will be appreciated for facility and meal planning.
