The Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University has introduced three new for-credit graduate certificates to support the needs of busy business professionals. The certificates are in human resource management and development, leadership and managing teams, and strategic management. Students will develop strategies for motivating employees, mobilizing teams, making strategic decisions, and implementing long-term plans.
“This program is for professionals looking to expand their knowledge and skills in human resources, leadership, or strategic management,” said Robert Wiseman, chair of the Department of Management and the Eli Broad Legacy Fellow of Management. “Students learn how to become more effective communicators, managers, and decision-makers and build an arsenal of strengths they need to become more effective leaders.”
Students in the certificate programs take select courses from the master of science in management, strategy, and leadership program. Should they decide to pursue the master’s degree in the future, students may apply credits earned toward the degree.
Applications are now being accepted for classes starting in the fall.
