Undergraduate business program climbs to No. 21 in U.S. News rankings

Supply chain ranked No. 1 for 4th year in a row

Michigan State University’s undergraduate business program moved up six spots to No. 21 overall and No. 11 among public universities in the U.S. News & World Report 2015 Best Undergraduate Business Programs rankings. The program housed in the Eli Broad College of Business was ranked No. 27 overall, No. 16 among publics in last year’s rankings.

#1 Supply Chain 4 years running. Source US News and World ReportAmong the specialty rankings, the Broad College’s supply chain management program is again ranked No. 1. This is the fourth year in a row the program has been ranked in the top spot above the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

“We are delighted that our business school peers are recognizing the quality across all of our academic programs,” said Sanjay Gupta, acting dean of the Broad College of the rankings, which are based solely on a peer survey assessment. “There are a number of exciting initiatives underway at Broad and we look to continue to build on our momentum to ensure Broad graduates are ready for the challenges of the global business world.”

Several other programs are ranked in the top 25, including Broad’s finance program, which is included in the rankings for the first time this year, placing No. 22. Other programs included are:

  • Production/operations management: 11
  • Accounting: 14
  • Management: 18
  • Marketing: 21
  • International business: 22

The U.S. News annual undergraduate business ranking is based solely on results from a survey of deans and senior faculty members at all Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited undergraduate business programs.
