Phil Zecher has been named an executive-in-residence in the Broad College.
Zecher earned a PhD in nuclear physics from MSU in 1996 and worked with Deloitte Consulting in New York focusing on technology solutions for risk measurement. He leveraged these skills to start his own company, Investor Analytics, which he later sold. Together with an ex-Goldman partner, he also set up a global macro/currency hedge fund, EQA Partners, which was closed in 2012. Since then he has been consulting with other funds on risk and technology issues and developing textbook materials for risk models, general portfolio analytics, and risk methods.
He has served on the board of the MSU Foundation and the alumni board of MSU’s College of Natural Science.
Zecher will teach a finance course during fall semester 2015 and will be on campus to interact with faculty and students starting this semester.
