Two Emerging Broad Entrepreneurs Making Headlines

By Caroline Brooks

Graduating seniors need to share some of their spotlight with two freshman.

The Eli Broad College of Business is stacked with talented scholars, and two particularly innovative freshmen are generating some buzz for their business ventures.

Finance major Jordan Shelby recently launched Snatch, a mobile app that allows users to recall text messages. Since its launch in January, Snatch has been downloaded all over the Americas, London and Rome.

Bailey Paxton, a business major, has been traveling the country for nearly a year, networking and meeting investors to get his medical device company licensed and manufactured. He presented his startup to thousands at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, and placed seventh out of 70 in the Innovation Showcase, the most prestigious startup showcase for the Midwest.
