10th Anniversary SpartyBall in the Windy City Coming up February 28
Chicago Spartans call it the best “Sparty Party” around. Organizers of the February 28 10th Anniversary SpartyBall in the Windy City are out to prove that true. Net proceeds from the event provide financial support for Metro Chicago students to attend MSU through endowments established by the Chicago Spartans Alumni Club. Consistent Top Ranking, Placement Success at Broad Reflected in Financial Times MBA Ranking
Broad’s Full-Time MBA program is No. 11 among U.S. public programs for the second straight year, according to the recently released Financial Times 2015 Global MBA Ranking. This reflects a Broad College trend of being among the top 15 public institutions nationwide in every major ranking of full-time MBA programs. In placement success, the program ranked No. 3 among U.S. public programs and No. 8 globally.
Financial Firms Host FMI on the Road in Chicago
Students in the Financial Markets Institute participated in the annual Chicago Roadshow January 29-30. They heard from a wide variety of financial services professionals at firms, including Stout Risius Ross, Inc.; Dimeo Schneider & Associates; Mesirow Financial; UBS O’Connor; Nuveen Asset Management; Concentric Equity Partners; Energy Foundry; Robert W. Baird; Goldman Sachs and Huron Consulting Group. Acting Dean Sanjay Gupta joined the students in welcoming 50 financial services alumni at an evening reception.
Spartan Selfie App Released
Proud Spartans everywhere are customizing their “selfie” pics using the “Spartan Selfie” app and sharing them by social media or email. The app, released last month by MSU, is currently available for iPhone and Android.
Super Bowl Advertisers Better to Buy Earlier
A MSU advertising researcher who studies Super Bowl ads says advertisers are better off buying airtime in the first quarter, rather than later in the game. Last year, many commercials went largely unseen because the game was decided so early.
