Last Chance to Tailgate This Year
If you are visiting campus for MSU’s last home football games of 2015 (vs. Maryland on November 14 or vs. Penn State on November 28), join us in the Broad College alumni tailgate tent in the two hours before kickoff for refreshments and reconnections with other proud Spartans. You’ll find our heated tent on Red Cedar Road, not far from the southeast corner of the stadium. There’s no charge for Broad College alumni and their friends and no need to RSVP.
Scholarships Available for Grandparents University
Grandparents University is coming June 28–30, 2016—an event bringing grandparents and grandchildren (ages 8–12) together for a three-day educational experience on MSU’s campus. A limited number of scholarships are currently available for the upcoming program. These scholarships, which are made available through donations from former and current attendees, pay registration fees for one adult and one child per family. Scholarship applications must be received by January 8, 2016.

Broad EMBA among Top 10 U.S. Public Programs, Says Financial Times
In the 2015 Financial Times ranking of executive MBA programs, Broad ranked No. 8 among U.S. public universities and moved up 18 places to No. 72 globally. Broad’s EMBA was also a top five U.S. public program for graduates’ career progress after earning their degrees.
For Better Sales, Connect with Coworkers
A new study by a Broad researcher finds that salespeople with strong social networks within their companies have significantly increased sales volume. These relationships help salespeople develop creative ideas that solve customer problems.
 Sales Leadership Students Win Fourth National Championship in Eight Years
A team of sales leadership minor students won the National Team Selling Competition championship, pitting elite university sales programs across the U.S. against one another to best respond to a real-world selling situation. Teams from MSU’s program have delivered four national championships in the last eight years (2008, 2009, 2011, and 2015).

President Simon to Lead AAU
MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon has begun a one-year term as chairperson of the Association of American Universities (AAU). The AAU is a nonprofit organization of 62 leading public and private research universities in the United States and Canada, founded to maintain the productive partnership between research universities and the U.S. government and to advance university research and higher education.

Joshua Davis, finalist on the eighth season of NBC’s “The Voice,” has released his arrangement of MSU’s alma mater, “MSU Shadows.” Watch and listen now.
