DESCRIPTION:Spring Career Days are your opportunity to meet with employers interested in hiring MSU students for internships\, full-time\, and part-time opportunities. \nThis day of the fair is focused on opportunities related to Sales\, Marketing\, Advertising\, Professional Communications Public Relations and Media. \nWhere is the fair? The fair is held virtually from within Handshake. \nWho can attend? Spring Career Days are open to all students at MSU. \nWhat do I need to do? Register to attend the fair on Handshake\, and then sign up for 1:1 and group sessions with the employers you’d like to meet with. On the day of the fair\, simply log into Handshake\, navigate to the fair page\, and click on the my sessions tab to start your meetings. \nHow can I prepare? Research the companies. Know what kinds of opportunities they offer\, research news related to them\, and review their website. Prepare questions for the company\, and review your qualifications so that you are prepared to talk about past experiences and how they would relate to the duties you’d perform in the job. \n\nWhat should I wear? We recommend business casual or business professional. A suit\, slacks and a blazer or a professional dress is preferred. \nHave a question or need support during the fair? Career Services will be hosting a Zoom Room at 3:30 pm before the fair for all of your questions:

Guests share their perspectives on everything from launching start-ups to experiencing success and failure to building dynamic and nurturing work cultures. \n \n  \nAbout The Speaker\nColby Cartledge currently works for Target as a Lead Business Designer on the New Ventures + Accelerators Team\, where she helps derisk speculative opportunities for the organization. Colby received her B.A. in Supply Chain Management and Management of Information Systems at the University of Texas at Austin in 2011 and her M.S. in Management\, Strategy\, and Leadership from Michigan State University in 2016. She currently resides in Minneapolis\, MN with her wife and many pets. Outside of work\, she enjoys rowing and modern quilting. \n  \nAbout Innovate State\nEvery year\, Innovate State invites Spartan entrepreneurs\, innovators\, and disruptors to join our community for a fireside chat.
