She specializes in the acceleration of enterprise value for software companies\, from startup launch to $100M valuation. She invests in growth-stage fintech companies and\, as the pioneer of the firm’s Edison Edge operating platform\, advises portfolio companies on go-to-market strategy and operations. \nPrior to joining Edison\, Kelly spent 20 years in high-growth emerging and established B2B and B2B2C tech companies. She serves on the board of directors for Billtrust\, observIQ\, ExecVision\, Kinetiq and Suuchi. She has been featured in Buyouts\, Forbes\, Crunchbase\, Venture Capital Journal\, and on Nasdaq TradeTalks and Cheddar\, and is a frequent speaker at national investor\, tech industry\, B2B sales and marketing events. \n  \nTamara Steffens leads investing and VC partnerships for M12\, a Microsoft venture investment arm\, in North America and India. She is the executive sponsor of the fund’s Female Founders Competition. \nTamara is an experienced operator and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in Silicon Valley at both startups and large tech companies. Her last startup\, Acompli\, a mobile productivity app\, Tamara led sales and business development. Microsoft acquired Acompli (now Outlook mobile) in 2014\, after which Tamara went on to lead business development for the broader Office 365 organization. Prior to Acompli\, Tamara successfully helped lead several startups to either IPO or acquisition\, including Software.com\, Boingo\, Fusion One\, and Path. \nAs a serial entrepreneur\, Tamara understands fundraising from the perspective of the entrepreneur and is a valuable GTM advisor. She has a bachelor’s of science in finance from Michigan State University\, where she currently sits on the Marketing Leadership Advisory Board. \n  \nChris is a co-founder and partner at Assembly Ventures\, Detroit and Berlin. Prior to this he co-founded the Detroit Mobility Lab and the Michigan Mobility Institute and acted as a senior advisor to mobility startups around the globe. Previously Chris co-founded Fontinalis Partners and\, for over a decade\, worked to build it into one of the premier investment firms in next-generation mobility. He is also a co-owner of Buddy’s Pizza\, the birthplace of original Detroit-style pizza\, and an avid angel investor. Chris earned his master’s degree in business administration from Yale. While at Yale he served on the Honor Committee and graduated with distinction in former Prime Minister Tony Blair’s seminar on Faith and Globalization. He is a food scientist\, earning his bachelor’s\, master’s\, & doctorate in flavor & fragrance chemistry from Michigan State University. During his studies\, he became intrigued by marketing and consumer research. \nHis development and product innovation leadership at Proctor and Gamble\, Pillsbury\, Pizza Hut\, McDonald’s\,\nand Quiznos have brought new flavors to families across the globe. \nIn 2007\, Smashburger was born\, becoming an industry icon for quality\, growth\, and business acumen. Smashburger has been named twice by Forbes as “America’s Most Promising Company\,” has won countless local awards for best burgers\, and earned Tom a spot on Gourmet Magazine’s ”25 Top Food Entrepreneurs of the Last 25 Years” list. Smashburger was acquired as a strategic growth concept by JFC\, a Manila-based restaurant powerhouse\, in 2018. \n  \nJeff Sinelli serves as Founder\, CEO\, & Chief Vibe Officer of Sinelli Concepts and its subsidiaries. He is the creator of growing iconic brands\, including Which Wich? With offices in Michigan and South Dakota\, the company serves a variety of industries and customers including Frito-Lay\, Quaker\, Sysco\, Walmart\, Amazon\, and Team Foods (Colombia and Chile) and has grown to be a major supplier of Organic and Non-GMO food-grade oils around the world. Being a graduate from Michigan State University\, he received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the Broad School of Management as well as a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Luther Seminary. Currently working as the VP\, Director of Business Development and Partnerships at Man Made Music\, she works towards and builds opportunities to create iconic music and sound for entertainment properties and Fortune 500 brands. Alongside this venture\, over the past eight years\, she has worked on audio identities\, network rebrands and immersive experiences for big-name clients such as AT&T\, American Express\, Nissan\, NPR\, IMAX\, Disney\, and Southwest Airlines. Her expertise has been showcased on TEDx and SXSW stages and numerous conference workshops while also working on and supporting programs that explore how music and sound can improve human health and wellness in hospital and patient care settings. Additionally\, Andrew is a minority shareholder and Board Member of Pop Daddy Popcorn\, a Michigan based ready-to-eat popcorn company as well as DROUGHT Juice\, a Michigan based cold-pressed juice company. Guests share their perspectives on everything from launching start-ups to experiencing success and failure to building dynamic and nurturing work cultures. \n  \n \n  \n\nGrowing up in southeast Michigan and acquiring a bachelor degree from Eli Broad College of Business in 2004\, Jeffrey Epstein is an accomplished attorney\, entrepreneur\, and investor. Later going on to earn his J.D. from Chicago-Kent School of Law in 2007\, he created and sold his first online business allowing him to successfully pay back his student loans in full and leading the way for his next venture\, ZFERRAL\, INC dba Ambassador Software (“Ambassador”) which at the time of its creation in 2010\, became a leading referral marketing platform used by some of the world’s most recognizable brands. \nSince then Epstein grew Ambassador to hold 45 full-time employees until it was acquired by West Corporation in late 2018\, but his extensive expertise doesn’t end there. Showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit\, he has attended and participated in Techstars (NYC 2011)\, raising several million dollars along the way in VC funding. Although he has made mistakes in his time\, Epstein now focuses on capitalizing and learning from them by consulting\, investing and helping other entrepreneurs learn and grow from the mistakes and troubles he has experienced throughout his career.

Each item purchased provides living essentials to the homeless of Detroit. York Project launched a cut + sew operation and line in Summer 2018 and now employs women from Detroit homeless shelters as part of its production team. Josh also launched a B2B private label garment manufacturing company called Soft Goods Detroit\, whose client list includes Shinola\, TJ Maxx Canada\, The PGA\, Chips Ahoy\, Speedo\, Funyuns\, Planters Peanuts\, Vaynermedia\, among others. \nJosh was a former buyer at Abercrombie & Fitch and also worked for The Boeing Company. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Supply Chain Management and a minor in German. Josh was honored as a TEDx speaker in 2017. Guests share their perspectives on everything from launching start-ups to experiencing success and failure to building dynamic and nurturing work cultures. \n\nKavita is an entrepreneur\, digital health maven\, patient health advocate\, investor and speaker with a mission to connect people to targeted health innovations\, enabling them to lead healthier lives. \nShe is the co-founder and CEO of Match Health\, a digital health platform that brings greater awareness and accessibility to transformative health innovations. Match Health has developed and maintains a vast video library that reviews various medical conditions and different innovations that have been developed to treat them. \nPrior to starting Match Health\, Kavita served as a Marketing Director for two medical device startups\, Biomerix Corporation and FoxHollow Technologies. In these roles\, Kavita drove the introduction of health innovations targeting tissue repair and peripheral arterial disease. \nKavita also has significant experience\, working as a consultant to both startups as well as larger organizations providing strategy and go-to-market expertise introducing novel medical device technologies to the market in the fields of cardiovascular health\, orthopedics\, general surgery\, and women’s health. \nKavita grew up in Rochester Hills\, MI and graduated from Michigan State University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (Eli Broad College of Business) and earned her MBA from the University of Michigan (Ross School of Business) in 2004. Guests share their perspectives on everything from launching start-ups to experiencing success and failure to building dynamic and nurturing work cultures. \n \n\nAnurag is an experienced global technology and management consultant with a talent for finding innovative solutions to complex business problems and building and growing businesses. He has extensive experience working with and for companies that range in size from the Global 500 to pre-investment startups. Anurag is a Charter Member and former President of TIE Austin\, former CEO Chair for the Austin chapter of Vistage\, an exclusive community of 14\,500 global business leaders\, where he guides and mentors a business group of 10+ CEOs. As a trained Chair\, Anurag is dedicated to helping businesses uncover unique opportunities\, maximize profits and influence others. \nAs a serial entrepreneur\, Anurag has previously raised $14M in Venture funding at Mediaprise where he was Founder and CEO. Most recently\, Anurag Co-founded iTexico\, a leader in Nearshore software services. Within nine years\, he has grown iTexico into a multi-million dollar company employing over 300 individuals and maintaining over 200 clients in the U.S.\, Canada\, and Mexico. Anurag holds an MBA from Michigan State University’s Broad School of Business\, MS in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)\, Delhi.

Guests share their perspectives on everything from launching startups to experiencing success and failure to building dynamic and nurturing work cultures. \n\nA native of Williamston\, Michigan\, Mike Miller is a lifelong Spartan. After graduating from MSU with degrees in physics and philosophy\, his undergraduate research at the Cyclotron opened the door for a PhD in Particle Physics from Yale and faculty positions at MIT and UW. Along the way he developed a taste for capitalism\, co-founding the Y Combinator-backed company\, Cloudant\, which helped create the noSQL and Database-aaS market before being acquired by IBM in 2014. Through a strange twist of fate\, Miller then co-founded Silicon Valley’s most active seed-stage venture capital firm with Joe Montana and Michael Ma. Since 2015 the partners have invested in over 250 companies with a combined valuation of nearly $10B\, putting them at the epicenter of the Bay Area’s tech scene. Outside of work\, Mike is the proud father of two sets of young twins with his wife Laura\, and they enjoy hiking\, sailing\, skiing and climbing from their Pacific NW home base.

Guests share their perspectives on everything from launching startups to experiencing success and failure to building dynamic and nurturing work cultures. \n\nSheela has more than 20 years of experience in building and implementing educational technology solutions in K-12 classrooms. At CueThink\, Sheela and her team have successfully taken the vision of a peer platform for math problem solving and built and deployed a scalable application to foster critical thinking and collaboration skills. As Founder and CEO\, Sheela has been instrumental in securing $3M from the National Science Foundation\, NewSchools Venture Fund\, MassVentures\, and angel investors. She has been successful in fostering partnerships with leading Math groups and selling to school districts across the country. Prior to CueThink\, Sheela was Project Director at Pearson Education\, focusing on technologically innovative assessment items based on Common Core State Standards. Before that\, Sheela was Director of Technology at CAST\, where she spearheaded numerous technical products including CAST eReader and Thinking Reader. She has been a member of various consortiums such as Web Access Initiative (WAI)\, National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard (NIMAS) and Open eBook Forum. Sheela has also been a podcaster for the Stanford Business School’s Center for Social Innovation.
