SUMMARY:Lunch & Learn: Ethics in Entrepreneurship
DESCRIPTION:oin the Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and the Center for Ethical and Socially Responsible Leadership (CESRL) for Lunch & Learn: Ethics in Entrepreneurship with Molly Reeser\, Founder & Executive Director at Camp Casey on Mon.\, April 1\, 2024\, at 11:30 AM in the Multipurpose Room (M019). Lunch will be provided. About Molly Reeser\, Founder & Executive Director\, Camp Casey \nMolly Reeser is the Founder & Executive Director of Camp Casey\, a local nonprofit that has been bringing free horseback riding and respite programs into the lives of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses for over 20 years! While attending Michigan State University seeking a degree in Journalism\, Molly worked part-time teaching horseback riding lessons. \nAt the barn\, she met Casey Foote\, a young girl whose journey with cancer affected Molly’s life tremendously. After Casey’s death\, Molly set out to do something to commemorate Casey’s life and love for horses. What was supposed to be a one-day affair for children at Sparrow Hospital has turned into an ongoing therapeutic horse program for kids with cancer throughout all of Michigan. Camp Casey’s unique program and inspirational story has been featured on NBC’s Today Show\, written about in the Huffington Post and has received recognition in countless Michigan publications.Today\, Molly serves as Executive Director of Camp Casey\, overseeing all aspects of the program and is proud to share the story of Camp Casey’s inception\, the serendipitous happenings along the way\, and reflect on the thousands of lives touched by her friend\, Casey’s\, legacy. She currently lives in Plymouth with her husband\, Nick\, their sons Nico and Ryan\, and their rescue pup\, Dusty. \n  \n
