SUMMARY:Supply Chain Disruption Amid COVID-19 (No Cost Webinar)
DESCRIPTION:Corporate Sustainability & Innovation in the Post-Pandemic Recovery: The Myths\, Challenges & Opportunities\nIn the first five installments of this webinar series\, we explored what firms can do to build more resilient and responsive supply chains to mitigate disruptions under extraordinary events\, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. We then discussed the impact for specific industries; in particular\, transportation\, pharmaceutical\, and healthcare. The most recent two webinars focused on the vaccine supply chain and the lessons learned under COVID-19. We invite you to 2020-21’s final installment of the webinar series\, focusing on sustainable supply chains. \nLarge and small organizations should be equipped with incentives and funding to take care of end-of-life disposals. With the soaring prices of raw materials\, including rare minerals\, the time is right for prioritizing sustainability and pursuing infrastructure upgrades to meet the needs of reuse and recycling and to justify the economic rationale. \nThe webinar will be moderated by David J. Frayer\, Ph.D.\, Assistant Dean\, Outreach and Engagement\, and will feature four sustainability experts. \nSpeakers: \n\nVedat Verter\, Chairperson SCM and McConnell Chaired Professor – Opening Remarks\nHan Zhang\, Assistant Professor SCM – Research Perspectives\nYing Liu\, Founder and CEO\, Blue Lake Packaging (formerly\, Senior Director of Product Operations and Corporate Social Responsibility at Apple)\nBing Cao\, Co-Founder & Managing Partner\, Blue Lake Packaging (formerly\, Associate Partner and Solution Leader at McKinsey & Company)

SUMMARY:Leading Critical Discussion on Sustainability in the International Business Classroom
