SUMMARY:Business And Bagels: Responsible AI For Business Leaders
DESCRIPTION:During this session of Business and Bagels\, you will hear from Anjana Susarla\, Ph.D.\, on the topic of Responsible Artificial Intelligence or AI. Fraught with bias\, AI is used by most service providers and retailers to guide marketing and other business decisions that impact their internal organization as well as their clients. Businesses are struggling to deflect bias in their AI- based decision making\, while many are asking for accountability for unintended consequences of those decisions. Examples are widespread and include lending agencies\, educators and health care providers.  Is there a framework or toolset for building responsible AI? Susarla will speak to what it means for businesses to commit to responsible AI and why it is an immediate priority for operational success and for society in general. \nPresenter\nAnjana Susarla\, Ph.D.\, is the Omura-Saxena Professor of Responsible AI in the Broad College of Business’ Department of Accounting and Information Systems. Her work has been referenced or quoted in over three dozen news outlets and has appeared in numerous revered research journals.
