Spring 2017 Advanced Degree Ceremony
Date/Time: Friday, May 5, 2017 | 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
The Spring 2017 Advanced Degree Ceremony includes conferral of degrees and the individual recognition of candidates for doctoral degrees, educational specialist degree and master’s degrees for spring and summer candidates. The commencement ceremony is two and a half hours long. Admission tickets are not required. Family and friends are invited.
Due to construction in the Breslin Center area and the increased volume in traffic and demand on parking, we strongly recommend the Breslin Commencement Shuttle Bus Service for ceremonies on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6. Buses are accessible. There is no charge for the service. Please also note that all bags are subject to search. To avoid delays, it is strongly recommended that bags are not brought to any ceremony. No food or beverages or other liquids are to be brought into any commencement facility. Please leave these items in your vehicle or discard before entering. Concessions at Breslin Center will be open one hour prior to the start of the ceremony and remain open through at least the first 60-90 minutes of the ceremony. Menu is limited to hot and cold beverages and some snack items.
The keynote speaker will be Darren Walker, an influential leader in the world of nonprofit investment and president of the Ford Foundation.
