Michigan State University Broad College of Business Full-Time MBA Class of 2016 students leveraged opportunities to interact with global companies and enjoy activities during a European study abroad in May. Here, they share what they picked up along the way.
Amazon.de was one of our more unique visits, in that it was the only site owned by an American company. The presentation focused on Amazon as a global corporation. We heard about the history of Amazon.com, the company’s values and guiding principles, and a brief overview of Amazon operations in Europe, as well as full-time opportunities for MBA graduates, which were fairly standard globally.
The presentation was followed by site tours from floor managers who guided us through the entire fulfillment center, from receiving, to storage, to packing, to shipping.
