Throughout his career at Disney, Chapek brought dynamic business innovations to all of his roles. From serving as president of distribution for Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, where he is credited with leading Disney’s “vault strategy,” to his role as president of Disney Consumer Products, which under his direction, saw record results in operating profits.

In his current role as chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Chapek and his team of more than 135,000 members deliver magical experiences to millions of guests each year at six resort destinations across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Chapek earned his MBA from the Broad College of Business in 1984, and has since stayed actively involved with his alma mater to continue inspiring fellow Spartans. He was featured at the 2012 Sylvan T. Warrington Lecture in Ethics and Leadership, and served as MSU’s commencement speaker in 2015.

Since 1965, the annual Detroit Forum has hosted CEOs and senior executives of many Fortune 100 companies. The Forum offers continuing education and business networking opportunities to attendees.
