FMI Senior Scholar Jamie Carlstedt was tapped to be the student speaker at President Simon’s brunch on Saturday, September 24, prior to the Spartan football game against Wisconsin. Speaking to a packed house of more than 400 alumni and friends at the Kellogg Center, Jamie shared a few of the highlights of his college experience both in and outside the classroom. He expressed his gratitude for the many scholarships he has earned that have allowed him to have a unique educational program, take part in study abroad, lead student organizations and compete in stock pitch competitions. Jamie was introduced to the crowd by MSU’s Director of Admissions Jim Cotter. At the conclusion of his remarks, Jamie welcomed President Lou Anna K. Simon to the podium.
