Students and alumni from The School of Hospitality Business at MSU are busy preparing for their 20th Annual Auction benefiting The School’s student Hospitality Association, its Alumni Association, and two local charities: the Junior League of Lansing and the MSU FCU Institute for Arts and Creativity at the Wharton Center.
This year’s Auction theme is “Hollywood,” so get ready for a memorable evening on Saturday, February 5, 2011. The silent auction begins at 5:00 pm, and the live auction begins at 6:00 pm. The Hollywood Auction is presented Auctioneer Bob Howe.
The major fundraising event for The School, the Annual Auction is planned by a student executive board, and involves the efforts of hundreds of student volunteers. Always a popular mid-winter event for MSU faculty, staff, alumni and members of the surrounding community, guests bid on a huge variety of items, including vacations, unique culinary experiences, exceptional weekend getaways, one of a kind memorabilia, and popular theater and sporting events. School alumni and supporters have generously donated all packages.
Some of the special packages that we have the pleasure of presenting are:
– Two-night stay for two at Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, also including breakfast and dinner for each day
– Two-night stay with breakfast and dinner at the Radisson Plaza Hotel and Suites in Kalamazoo, MI
