More than 50 students from the Broad College of Business were inducted into the highly regarded international honor society Beta Gamma Sigma on March 25. The inductees and those wishing to congratulate the students on their achievement attended a reception, initiation, and dinner held in the Wharton Center’s Jackson Lounge.

Chosen by Broad’s faculty, these students have proven themselves academically and earned the distinction of being the best in business. As a requirement for an invitation into Beta Gamma Sigma, the juniors and seniors inducted Monday rank in the top 10 percent of their undergraduate programs and the graduate student inductees are among the top 20 percent in their respective programs.

As a reflection of the standards students must meet, membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition business students anywhere in the world can receive in business programs accredited by AACSB International.

The students join a network of more than 700,000 lifetime members worldwide, including individuals from six continents, more than 160 countries, and all 50 states.

Founded in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma strives to encourage and honor academic excellence, lifelong learning, and the advancement of business thought and practices.
