Congratulations to Anthony Aron, Parker Decraene, Nathan Feather, Amanda McConnell, and Shea Joyce for winning the 2018 CFA Society West Michigan Research Challenge held in Grand Rapids on February 8th. This stock pitch competition involved writing a detailed stock recommendation report and presenting the recommendation to a panel of judges. All 5 students are finance majors who have taken the Security Analysis class which manages a multimillion dollar fund on behalf of the MSU Foundation.
5 teams from three schools were involved in the competition. The students will now advance to the March 19-20 Americas Regional Final in Boston.
