Supply Chain Management Professor Ram Narasimhan, a University Distinguished Professor and the John H. McConnell Professor of Business Administration, was recently recognized with the “Distinguished Global Academic Leadership” award by the Pan-Pacific Business Association (PPBA) in recognition of his “prolific research and promoting research in operations management among international academics.”

The PPBA is comprised of international scholars in business and economics from the U.S., Australia, Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore and other Pan-Pacific countries. The award was given at the PPBA International Conference held in Shenzhen, China.

Narasimhan has been deeply involved in teaching and research over the 32 years he’s been a professor at Michigan State University. His research interests include strategic issues encompassing supply chain strategies, strategic sourcing, integration across supply chains, buyer-supplier relationships, empirical modeling of decision linkages in SCM and analytical modeling of supply chain decisions. He received his PhD from the University of Minnesota.
