Hundreds of alumni from the Class of 1961 and earlier returned to the MSU campus June 2 and 3, 2011, to mark the 50th anniversary of their graduation at MSU Alumni Reunion Days. During the two day event, nearly 30 college and university activities, tours and programs were available for the reunion alumni to enjoy.

On June 2, a group of about 20 business and hospitality graduates and guests gathered at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development for a luncheon hosted by the Broad College dean, Stefanie Lenway; the dean for Undergraduate Programs, John Wagner; and Ron Cichy, director of The School of Hospitality Business.

Ward Taphouse (BA Business Administration ’43), the senior alumnus in attendance, has attended the Broad College reunion events since 2002. Also attending with their guests were George Fritz (BA Hotel and Restaurant Management ’54), Phil Kline (BA Hotel and Restaurant Management ’58), Louis “Ned” Legg (BA General Business ’50) Zoe Slagle (BA, M Hotel and Restaurant Management ’59,’64), Jim Rainey (M Personnel Administration ’66), Gwen Schincariol (BA Retail Administration ’61) and Angelos “Ange” Vlahakis (BA Hotel and Restaurant Management ’51).
