Each year, the Broad College of Business’ graduating seniors support a meaningful, chosen cause as their Senior Class Gift. Only this year, they’re making it a cross-college competition – and getting the dean involved.
With the chosen gift as a donation to the Business Pavilion, 2017 seniors decided to unleash the competitive side of giving. With the launch of a Crowdpower giving site, students will rally behind their academic departments—Accounting & Information Systems, Finance, Hospitality Business, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management—to see which can reach (or exceed) the goal of $1,000 per department.
The Business Pavilion was selected as the senior class gift because of its potential impact on future generations of Spartans. The new facility will provide students with modernized spaces to collaborate and learn, and will meet the needs of today’s challenging business curriculum.
“My hope for the next generation of Broad scholars is to have a place to learn that reflects what draws us all to Broad in the first place: a sense of community and a place where we can be challenged and thrive,” Kari Jurewicz (BA Accounting ’17), President of the Broad College Student Senate, said.
