Twelve graduates from this past summer accomplished an enviable feat throughout their time at Michigan State University — earning a perfect GPA.
During its Oct. 31 meeting, the MSU Board of Trustees presented these graduating seniors with the Board of Trustees Award, which recognizes and honors their achievement of the highest scholastic average one can receive: a 4.0 GPA.
In addition to the award, the students will also be recognized during their individual commencement ceremonies in December and receive a special cord to adorn their robes.
2 Broad Spartans were recognized for their achievement: Brandon M. Sims and Benjamin M. Horaney. Congratulations on this recognition!

Brandon M. Sims
Brandon M. Sims earned a bachelor’s in management from the Eli Broad College of Business and is from Commerce Township, Michigan.

Benjamin M. Horaney
Benjamin M. Horaney earned a bachelor’s in accounting from the Eli Broad College of Business, is a member of the Honors College from Brighton, Michigan.
“Receiving this award is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the support and opportunities I had at Michigan State,” said Horaney. “I am grateful for my time at MSU, which has prepared me for my professional future. I’m currently working toward my MSA and excited to begin my accounting career next year.”
