James is currently in his fifth year of the Accounting PhD program at Michigan State University. Before joining MSU, he worked as a data auditor at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) in Detroit, MI. During his time at PwC, James focused on providing data analytics in support of external and internal audit engagements. James helped design, implement, and deliver data analytics in support of both external and internal auditor testing.
James is an active Certified Public Accounting in the State of Michigan (License No. 1101035082). In addition, he is a Certified Internal Auditor. James received his BBA in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Grand Valley State University.
James' research interests are broadly within the field of archival audit and financial accounting research. In his doctoral studies, he has focused on both information content and acquisition of internal organizational communications, external disclosures, and regulator disclosures.
Computer building, interesting coding applications, and new data analytics are James' professional passions. When not at work James enjoys world traveling and adventurous culinary experiences.
