  • Biography
     A graduate of Michigan State University and Detroit College of Law, Mike Behan has actively practiced law since 1991.  Licensed in both Michigan and Florida, Mike has argued cases successfully before the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Courts, the United States Tax Court, the Michigan Supreme Court and trial level courts in Michigan and Florida. - an experience he finds very rewarding.  While in law school, Mike had the good fortune of being elected the Editor in Chief of the law review, and he has always enjoyed and found rewarding teaching law. Since 1993, Mike has enjoyed teaching law as an adjunct professor at the law school and undergraduate levels, as well as for various continuing legal education programs.  Mike has served as an expert witness in cases on multiple occasions and was honored to be one of the youngest attorneys in Michigan to be selected a Fellow of the State Bar of Michigan.  In past years, Mike has been elected to both the Ingham County Bar Association Board of Directors and the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly.  For over twenty years, Mike has also been honored to serve as a panel member for the Attorney Discipline Board.  He counts as greatest blessings being married to a wonderful person and having great children.  Mike quotes from old movies far too often and is proud of the success he had coaching numerous youth basketball teams in the Lansing area, where he almost amassed close to a winning record.
