Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business ranked among the nation’s top public business schools, and once again took the top position in the supply chain management/logistics specialty in the 2018 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges ranking of undergraduate programs, released today.
The college ranked #14 among public business schools, continuing a trend of ranking among the top 15 such institutions. Among all business schools, the Broad College ranked #24.
For the seventh year in a row, Broad topped the supply chain management/logistics specialty ranking. In the 16 years that this specialty ranking has been offered, the college has always ranked among the top two, and earlier this year, the U.S. News graduate ranking also recognized Broad as #1.
“We are very proud of the continued recognition from U.S. News regarding the quality and impact of the Broad College’s supply chain management program,” said Cheri Speier-Pero, interim chair of the Department of Supply Chain Management. “We have a team of passionate faculty and staff who are committed to making a difference in the lives of our students and in the contributions of our research to practice. This collective effort has resulted in strong partnerships with industry to ensure that our cutting-edge curriculum develops students with both the skills required to garner professional success and the leadership potential to make meaningful operational and strategic supply chain decisions that can enhance and transform companies.”
The college also garnered top 25 status in a number of other specialty rankings:
- #8 in production/operation management
- #22 in accounting
- #22 in management
- #24 in international business
“We are proud to be recognized among the nation’s leading public business schools,” said Kathy Petroni, associate dean for undergraduate programs and Deloitte/Michael Licata Professor of Accounting. “Our alumni work hard in their respective fields to make business happen, and their efforts are recognized by their outstanding successes in the companies and communities they touch. It is nice to see that this is well recognized by our peers.”
