Business And Bagels: Emotion Regulation And Fairness In The Workplace

September 15, 2021

We are all vulnerable to showing a wide range of emotions at work, intentionally and unintentionally, as leaders and as subordinates. Displayed emotion – positive, negative, or indifferent – draws a wide range of responses in the workplace. Brent Scott, Ph.D., is at the leading edge of research regarding the way emotions play out in the work environment and their impact on well-being and productivity. During the September 15 Business and Bagels, Scott will speak to how managers and team leaders can manage their own emotions to elicit desired outcome, or to avoid unintended consequences like a sense of unfairness at work. Join Business and Bagels to get further acquainted with emotion regulation and fairness in the workplace.

Presenter:

Brent Scott, Ph.D. is the Frederick S. Addy Distinguished Professor in the Broad College of Business Department of Management. His research focuses on the role of mood and emotions at work, organizational justice, and well-being.
