“Global Business Club: Spotlight on Vietnam” Highlights Business Trade Opportunities

August 14, 2024 from 10am-3pm at Seidman College of Business, Grand Rapids MI

Organized by the MSU International Business Center, the Global Business Club (GBC) of Michigan exists to connect exporters and those interested in international trade to educational resources.  In September 2023 the GBC launched the Market Spotlight Series, where four markets a year are chosen to be highlighted in different cities around Michigan.  Past events spotlighted Canada in Detroit, Türkiye in Lansing, Brazil in Ann Arbor, and West Africa in East Lansing.  On Wednesday August 14 in Grand Rapids the GBC is partnering with the U.S. Commercial Service and the Van Andel Global Trade Center to focus on Vietnam.

“Spotlight on Vietnam” will feature keynotes from Ruth Soberanes, Foreign Commercial Service Officer with the International Trade Administration, and Owen E. Herrnstadt, congressionally appointed member of the Board of Directors with the Export-Import Bank (EXIM).  These presentations will be followed by a panel of business leaders sharing first-hand experiences in Vietnam, lunch, and the opportunity for networking and free 1-on-1 consultations with: the U.S. Commercial Service, Michigan SBDC, EXIM Bank, and MDARD.

This can’t-miss immersive cultural event and business experience is sure to benefit exporters and anyone interested in learning more about global trade.  Cost to attend is $25 and includes lunch.  For questions email MSU IBC Assistant Director Hannah Pszenica, pszenica@msu.edu.
