Boss moves: Four women leading with impact through the Broad Executive MBA

Thursday, May 29, 2025

At the Broad College of Business, the Executive MBA program empowers professionals to lead with confidence, clarity, and purpose. In this installment of the EMBA Boss Stories series, we check in with four standout women who are redefining leadership in today’s business world. These Broad Executive MBA alumnae are more than successful; they’re true bosses who lead with purpose, resilience, and vision.

Tammy Hannah: From intern to CEO, built on confidence

Tammy Hannah began her career with a 16-week internship at Origami Rehabilitation. She now serves as president and CEO, leading a team of nearly 130 employees. Despite her steady rise, she often questioned her qualifications as she moved into executive roles.

To strengthen her skills and confidence, Hannah enrolled in the Broad Executive MBA. Juggling school, leadership duties, and young children was difficult, but she found balance and growth. The program helped her develop strategic thinking and reaffirm her ability to lead.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Hannah led her team through a series of challenges and launched a new outpatient clinic. Her resilience and innovative leadership turned uncertainty into progress, a testament to both her mindset and the tools gained at Broad.

Lori Hillman: Engineering change and championing women

Lori Hillman has spent more than 20 years in the engineering field, often as one of the few women in the room. As Director of Global Warranty at Eaton Cummins, she has introduced new reporting systems that significantly improved efficiency.

Looking to grow and expand her leadership, Hillman joined the Broad Executive MBA to strengthen her financial and strategic skills. The degree helped bridge the gap between her technical expertise and her aspirations in business.

Now, Hillman not only leads with impact but also mentors young women entering STEM. She believes in removing barriers for others and showing the next generation what strong, capable leadership looks like.

Chriscynethia Floyd: Leading with purpose and self-belief

Chriscynethia Floyd serves as Vice President of Publishing for U.S. Operations at Our Daily Bread Ministries. Her work uplifts communities and gives voice to underrepresented perspectives. With more than 20 years of experience, she enrolled in the Broad Executive MBA to sharpen her skills and grow as a leader.

The program was transformative. Floyd says it gave her the confidence to lead with conviction and make bold decisions. “I found my voice,” she said. Her time at Broad reinforced her belief in herself and opened new doors throughout her career.

She continues to lead with intention, using her platform to inspire and make a lasting impact.

Sandra Bouckley: A career of perspective and purpose

Sandra Bouckley earned her Broad Executive MBA in the 1990s and has built a career spanning more than four decades. She has led teams across Fortune 500 companies and took the helm at the Society of Manufacturing Engineers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bouckley credits her EMBA degree with giving her new tools and perspectives that helped her navigate complex leadership challenges. Her career reflects a commitment to continuous learning, and she remains a powerful example of long-term, values-driven leadership.

Built by Broad, backed by community

Each of these women brings talent, determination, and courage to the table. Their stories show how education, community, and a willingness to grow can empower leaders to rise — and to bring others along with them. The Broad Executive MBA helped each of them unlock their potential and build careers that inspire.
