MSU Master's in Marketing Analytics Expands for Spring 2027

Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business is expanding its Master of Science in Marketing Research and Analytics (MSMRA) program with a new Spring 2027 part-time online enrollment option, giving students more flexibility in when and how they pursue a graduate degree in marketing research and analytics.

New Spring 2027 Start Offers Online Flexibility for Working Professionals

Beginning in January 2027, students can enroll in the MSMRA program through a flexible, 100% online, part-time format. The new option is designed for students who want to continue working and managing their existing responsibilities while building advanced expertise in marketing research, analytics and emerging technologies. Students can choose an accelerated course plan or work with an advisor to create a custom timeline that fits their individual goals and schedule.

The new spring start builds on the program’s existing range of learning options. Students can pursue MSMRA through full-time in-person, full-time online or part-time online formats, allowing them to select an experience that aligns with their professional and personal commitments. The addition of a Spring 2027 part-time online option means prospective students no longer have to wait until the fall to begin working toward their degree.

More Opportunities to Join a Top-Ranked Marketing Research and Analytics Program

Students joining the program are entering a highly regarded and STEM-certified graduate program. The MSMRA program has been ranked No. 1 in marketing research and analytics for the past decade, reflecting its longstanding reputation within the field. In the 2026 rankings, the program was also ranked No. 1 in marketing research and No. 2 among all online master’s programs in marketing in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report, as well as No. 1 in marketing research globally by QS World University Rankings.

The program’s curriculum combines marketing research methods, marketing strategy, data collection, advanced analytics, AI-driven methodologies and emerging technologies with opportunities for students to apply what they learn to real-world challenges. Coursework and projects are designed to help students understand consumer behavior, develop comprehensive data-driven marketing skills and gain experience working with real clients.

Students also learn from award-winning faculty and interact with executives and leaders across the marketing research and insights industry. For professionals considering their next career move, that combination of flexibility and applied learning can make graduate education more accessible without requiring them to put their careers on hold. Whether students are looking to launch a career in marketing research and insights, advance within their current organization or build new analytics and AI skills, the program provides multiple pathways to reach their goals.

Spring 2027 Marketing Research & Analytics Master’s Applications Are Open

The early application deadline for the Spring 2027 part-time online cohort is October 1, 2026, and the program may continue accepting applicants through late November and early December. Prospective students can explore the marketing analytics graduate programs, attend an upcoming virtual information session or connect with the MSMRA team to determine whether the new spring option is the right fit for their goals.

The new Spring 2027 start gives students another opportunity to become part of the MSMRA community, and another way to build the skills, experience and credentials needed to lead in the evolving insights and analytics industry.
