Lillian Brooks

Dr. Lillian R. Brooks is an Academic Specialist-Advisor for Undergraduate Student Services in the Eli Broad College of Business and the advisor for the Entrepreneurship & Innovation minor. Lillian has a PhD in Higher Education Administration from Michigan State University. Her research involved studies on student transition to college and institutional practices that facilitate academic success. Prior to her role at Broad, Lillian held administrative positions at Western Michigan University as Assistant Director of Regional Locations; at Lansing Community College as Technical Education Team Leader for C3R; and at Michigan State University's College of Education as manager of the Summer Scholars Program. Lillian served as president of the Central Florida Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, marketing specialist for the Central Florida African American Chamber of Commerce, and as a diversity consultant for the Downtown Orlando Marketing Association. She was an operations guest service manager at Walt Disney World where she completed the Management Core Program at Disney University. During her tenure at WDW, Lillian was nominated for Partners in Excellence, initiated employee training and development workshops, and served as a mentor for the College Program. Lillian also earned an MBA from University of Detroit Mercy and a BS degree in marketing and international management from Georgetown University. Other interests include Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation (TRHT), book clubs, traveling, movies, theatre, and swimming.
