Joe Courtade Moon

As Director of the M.S. in Accounting and Data Analytics program, Joe handles recruitment, admissions, and advising for the largest graduate program in the Broad College and second largest at the university. He also teaches the undergraduate ACC 250: Preparing for an Accounting Career and ACC 493: Accounting Internship courses, and serves as department liaison to the External Advisory Board.

Joe received his M.A. from New York University in Higher Education and Student Affairs and his B.A. from Grand Valley State University in International Relations and Political Science. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Education Policy from Michigan State University, with research interests in expanding access to quality education in rural communities

Prior to joining the Broad College, he has worked in a number of roles in academic advising, career services, and residence life, and has taught career education to undergraduate students.  He has also led past study abroad programs to India and Haiti, and currently leads a program to South Africa.

Past institutions he has worked for include Grand Rapids Community College, Grand Valley State University, New York University, Cornell University, Stevens Institute of Technology, Marymount Manhattan College, and Interlochen Center for the Arts.
