Biography
Chris Lam is an Assistant Professor of Management at
Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business. He received his PhD in
Management from the University of California, Irvine. His research looks at how
workers navigate organizational boundaries surrounding socially contested
identities and affiliations, such as political affiliation, status as
occupational outsiders, and lived experience. This work looks at how such
identities permeate the workplace and the strategies and workers and
organizations use to manage and integrate these identities into the work
itself.
