  • Biography
    Adam Merrill is a seasoned professional with over 13 years of leadership experience in Talent Strategy & Acquisition at top-tier companies like Deloitte Consulting and Amazon. He specializes in driving strategic initiatives that enhance recruitment processes and build high-performing teams. Adam is recognized for his ability to design and implement best-practice recruitment strategies that significantly improve hiring outcomes for both internal stakeholders and external customers.

    Most recently, Adam served as the Director of Talent, at Curtis&Co, a boutique consulting firm based in Virginia. While there, Adam pioneered an integrated talent acquisition strategy, managing both experienced hires and college campus recruitment programs. He also built out a robust performance management and mentorship model, boosting organizational productivity and employee growth.

    During his tenure at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Adam managed a global team responsible for recruiting experienced hires in Database, IoT, and Productivity Apps sectors. He standardized recruiting processes, leading to improvements in recruiter calibration, candidate cycle time, and candidate experience.

    At Deloitte Consulting, Adam led talent acquisition efforts for various business units across campus & experienced hire, consistently exceeding hiring targets and navigating competitive talent landscapes in Cloud Engineering and Strategy & Operations. He obtained extensive experience and knowledge that allowed him to help students navigate and prepare for consulting recruitment processes and their careers. Adam did this work across Undergrad and Advanced Degree programs at schools such as Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Columbia, & MIT. Adam's strategic approach to talent acquisition drove significant improvements in hiring efficiency with a focus on Intern to Full-Time conversion and Offer Accept Rates.

    Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Grand Valley State University. He is known for his forward-thinking leadership style and his ability to build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams. Adam is passionate about continuous improvement, using data-driven insights and KPIs to drive strategic decisions and achieve measurable results.

    Adam lives in Ada, Michigan with his wife Amy, their two sons Jackson (4) and Beckett (2), and their Portuguese Water Dog named Sperry. He enjoys spending his spare time on the golf course and coaching baseball in the summer, but you can find him on the hockey rink in the winter months.
