Registration is open for the 10th Annual Women in Business Leadership Conference on April 7th at the Hannah Community Center in East Lansing, MI. The one-day conference is open to all MSU students and is free. Students can register here.
“The annual conference is WBSA’s most exhilarating event of the year, one that brings together wisdom and knowledge to be discovered and shared. Students will master the art of leadership and discover ways to transform their potential into success,” said Yanisa Godard, President of Women in Business Students’ Association and Supply Chain Management junior.
The theme for this year’s conference is Ignite Your Inner Leader. The WBSA executive board selected the theme to stress the significance of students unlocking their potential and tapping into their existing leadership abilities. “The journey towards achieving continued success in your career all begins with your inner spark,” said Godard.
Dow Chemical, EY and Stryker will be presenting workshops during the conference on succeeding in your internship, developing confidence and networking. There will also be a panel of young alumni sharing their experiences transitioning from college to the workforce.
“The Women in Business Leadership Conference is a time to begin establishing yourself as a business leader. For me, this was the first time at such an elite event and it really set me up for success during my internship. I was able to connect with business executives and interact with them in a setting very similar to the real business world,” said Hannah Crittenden, WBSA Secretary and Supply Chain Management junior.
The keynote speaker at the luncheon will be Shannon Crone, Advisory Executive Director, EY. She will be sharing personal insights from her 16 years of experience in the professional services industry.
“It takes dedication and hard work to excel in the business world and the Women in Business Leadership Conference is an essential piece of this. I would encourage everyone who is serious about their career and being a leader to attend. You will not regret it,” said Crittenden.
