Curriculum for the Online Taxation Certificate (12 credits)

You’ll study the principles that determine the amount, timing and location of tax payments. You’ll also gain specialized knowledge of tax rules to ensure transactions are handled in the most tax-efficient way possible — a skill that every employer values.

Students are expected to maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 in all courses in the certificate and a minimum 2.0 grade-point average in each course for the course to count towards the certificate program.

Admissions criteria

To be eligible for our graduate-level tax certification, you must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution with a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade-point average of 3.0.

If your degree is in another area of study, you may still qualify for admission into our online tax specialist certification with certain coursework and work experience.

Applications are accepted at any time but should be completed no later than two months prior to the desired starting semester.

Tuition

Tuition for the graduate Taxation certificate is billed at $817.25 per credit hour, whether you are an in-state or out-of-state student. Additional course-related expenses for reading materials or software licenses may be incurred.
