Multicultural Business Students (MBS) welcomes students, faculty, staff and corporate representatives to its 31st Annual Winter Networking Reception on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Kellogg Center on the MSU campus. The reception is an opportunity for MSU students to practice their networking and professional etiquette skills.
“The MBS Reception is an extremely valuable time for our members to practice skills learned from our general membership meetings and professional events and work to extend their network. Even though many of our members are freshmen, the reception gives them a great chance to lay the groundwork for a successful career,” said Parker Bunton, MBS president and supply chain management senior.
Over 20 corporations will be attending to meet MSU students interested in internships and full-time positions including General Motors, Ally, and Stryker.
“Recruiters look forward to this event each year because they know that they will have access to the top and most diverse talent the Broad College has to offer,” said Lauren Hurley, MBS external vice president and business admitted sophomore. “The quality of interaction at this event is unparalleled and with the opportunity to give back to the community through our toy drive, professionals can leave feeling great not only about the conversations they’ve had, but about their contribution to help families in need.”
MBS will also recognize MSU students who have been the most active in the organization. The organization’s mission is “Empowering Lives, Diversifying Minds, Business Redefined.” MBS accomplishes its mission through general membership meetings, community service events, a leadership retreat and social events for MSU students.
