Innovate State is a collaboration between the Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and the MSU Innovation Center.
Hosted in the Gaynor Entrepreneurship Lab, Innovate State welcomes successful Spartan alumni back to campus for a fireside chat. Guests share their perspectives on everything from launching start-ups to experiencing success and failure to building dynamic and nurturing work cultures.
About The Speaker
As the CEO / Co-founder of Patchwerk Recording Studios, Curtis Daniel III is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the multi-million-dollar facility. One such venture, āThe Werkstation,ā which is a recording station in the middle of The Mall of Georgia, was launched in February of 2014. While under his watch, Patchwerk has been the home to more than a dozen Grammy-nominated audio engineers, as well as over 100 gold and platinum plaques. Patchwerk has also been the creative & driving force behind several educational programs and music events, such as Music University, Weekend Workshops, I Do Music, and R&B Live.
Curtis received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University. He is the majority owner of 5ten15twenty (a group fundraiser site for well-known artists & producers), sole owner of The Talent Incubators, and a minority owner of Atlantaās Streetz 94.5 FM radio station.
