White Collar Crime; An Ethics Lecture

September 23, 2024

The Center for Ethical and Socially Responsible Leadership and the Frank J. Kelley Institute of Ethics are thrilled to welcome Hank Shea and Steve Brown to campus on September 23, 2024 from 5-6pm.

Hank Shea was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota for almost twenty years. Between 1994 and 1998 he served as the Chief of his Office’s Economic Crime Section. He was considered one of the country’s most effective white-collar crime prosecutors. For the past few years, Shea has also been engaged in a unique collaboration with white-collar offenders, many of whom he prosecuted, to make joint ethics presentations.

Joining Hank Shea will be Steve Brown. Brown, a Democratic member of the Missouri House representing District 73, voluntarily surrendered his law license following his guilty plea in August of 2009, for his part in a conspiracy to obstruct a Federal Election Commission proceeding and to obstruct a federal grand jury proceeding in 2004. In 2018 Brown’s petition for reinstatement of his law license was approved and he was reinstated as a member of The Missouri Bar in good standing.

Join us for a unique perspective on ethics, and the leadership lessons learned from experiences of Hank Shea and Steve Brown. Register today!
