A Broad College of Business rising senior was one of six students nationwide to be awarded R. Gene Richter Scholarships from the Institute for Supply Management and the R. Gene and Nancy D. Richter Foundation, according to the foundation’s Web site.
Sarah Jonckheere, a supply chain management major also working on a minor in information technology, will receive the $10,000 award to apply toward her senior year tuition in 2018-19, added Supply Chain Management Review magazine’s Web site.
Jonckheere was also invited to attend ISM 2018, a recent leading global conference for the supply management profession, and she is now enrolled in a special mentoring program, pairing her with both an executive and a previous scholarship winner, SCMR reported.
“I am incredibly honored to be a recipient of the R. Gene Richter Scholarship this year. It was an amazing experience to be able to network with top supply chain professionals at the annual ISM conference in Nashville and hear from those who have had incredible experiences in the field,” Jonckheere wrote on her LinkedIn page.
