A team of five FMI students participated in the Midwest Regionals of the Venture Capital Investment Competition hosted by MSU on February 24, 2018. Team members Austin Fillmore, Chris Horton, Nick Johns, Niki Krear and Jonathan Zaremba took third-place honors. The team was coached by senior scholar Greer Clausen. Other teams competing represented University of Chicago, Miami University, Northwestern, Notre Dame and the University of Michigan.

Chris Mulligan, Mike Murri and Ethan Thomas represented the FMI at the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Cup Western Michigan held at Grand Valley State’s Seidman College of Business on Feburary 24. A total of 21 undergraduate teams from Aquinas, Central Michigan, Grand Valley, Hillsdale, Hope, Michigan, MSU and Western Michigan competed. The FMI team was one of five teams chosen for the final-round competition. Winners will be announced on March 20th.
