The Supply Chain Management graduate program at Michigan State University took the top spot in the 2018 U.S. News and World Report Best College rankings, released Tuesday, March 14. The graduate program captured the top spot from Massachusetts Institute of Technology for 2018. The Department also improved their position in Productions/Operations Management, tying with Harvard at the #8 spot. This also reflected an improvement from their #10 spot last year.“Our position as the No. 1 supply chain/logistics program in the country, joined with a #8 in the production/operations specialty, is a true testament to the innovation of our faculty, students and alumni who put us on the map,” said Closs. “We collectively set the standard for excellence in the supply chain management industry that connects business to the rest of the world.” The Michigan State University Supply Chain Management Department has been ranked as one of the top two programs with Massachusetts Institute of Technology since U.S. News and World Report began their rankings of the supply chain/logistics specialty. The report began ranking Best Business Schools (graduate) and Best Colleges (undergraduate) for the supply chain/logistics specialty in 2004 and 2003 respectively.
