Spartans work every day to tackle the world’s most pressing challenges. Each year, MSU honors Spartans who embody excellence and elevate the prestige of Michigan State University with the Grand Awards. These awards are among the highest distinctions MSU bestows upon its alumni.

While many Spartans achieve remarkable success, these awards are reserved for the select few whose extraordinary accomplishments rise above the rest. These individuals have made a lasting impact through their work in areas like industry, innovation, the arts, science and research — often on a national or global scale.

Each fall, a group of Spartans are formally recognized and presented a Grand Award at an induction ceremony and celebratory gala. This year, on October 23rd, three Broad Spartans were among those honored.
