You don’t need to wait for a promotion to start leading, as Walker Hayslette, a Master’s of Science in Healthcare Management student, puts it. “I think the biggest thing I have taken from the Academy is that even though I’m not in an official leadership position, there are many things leaders do that I can incorporate into my everyday work life. By integrating these into my everyday activities, I can improve and really sharpen these skills when I get to that point.”
Academy participation yields practical results, says Deonte Howell, a Masters of Science in Management, Strategy, and Leadership student. “The Academy has helped me be intentional about my leadership and caused me to think more critically about how I’m showing up for my teams. The Academy does a great job of providing valuable information and helping leaders think critically about how they show up.”
“The Broad Enterprise Leadership Academy allowed me to understand my personality attributes and helped me further understand how I can improve my leadership approaches,” says Hannah Thomas, a Master’s of Science in Healthcare Management student. “I would recommend the academy to any leader looking to gain insight.”
