Biography
Elliott Daniels serves as Lead Faculty for the Sports Business
Management Minor and is embarking on nearly two decades on MSU’s campus having received
a MS in Kinesiology in Sports Administration from MSU’s College of Education. He
also has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Eastern
Michigan University. Daniels directs and leads all aspects of Sports Business Management,
a program he created at MSU in 2015. He organizes all facets of the minor
including admissions, curriculum development, course creation, career counseling,
and the Sports Business Management Advisory Board. Daniels teaches courses
connected to the minor regarding the business of sports. Utilizing his network
of sports business industry experts, he has connected the program locally and
nationally with college athletic departments, professional sport organizations,
governing associations and entertainment companies. Daniels is approaching 20
years of service in athletic administration at MSU Athletics, a division I and
Power 5 athletic department. Promoted to Associate Athletic Director for
Student-Athlete Engagement, Daniels serves on the Sports Administration team
and directs all aspects of the Student-Athlete Engagement unit. A former
football student-athlete, Daniels is passionate about making the connection between
sports and business along with assisting students in making themselves more
marketable for a career in the sports business industry. He and his wife Tisha
have a daughter.
