Biography Micayla is a third year doctoral student in the Department of Marketing. She is a graduate of the top-ranked MSMR program at Michigan State and previously received her BS in Marketing and Management from Purdue University with a minor in Psychology. Micayla now specializes in consumer behavior. Her research interests focus on the role of emotions in purchasing decisions, numerical cognition, and loyalty programs. She prides herself on researching issues of both theoretical and practical significance for marketing decision makers. Prior to graduate school, Micayla spent four years in industry as a market researcher, working and consulting for top brands including Carfax, Microsoft, and Pepsico.
